Anniversary Night

The kids have been waking up each morning this week counting down the days for their big sleep over at Bachan & Jiichan's house. Well the day has finally come.

At Staci's school they had a storybook parade. Each student picked a book and dressed as their character. Staci picked the book called "Being Kind" and she was the kind fairy. She looked so cute in her little princess outfit from Oma. She had fun parading around with her friends while her brother & sister enjoyed eating their popcorn and making a mess.

Once Dad got home and Mom had the kids packed we dropped off the kids at The Mierzejewski's. They gave us hugs goodbye and were happy to stay.

Dad surprised Mom with flowers after work and Mom got him a new puzzle. She got it in memory of their anniversary a few years back when they enjoyed putting a puzzle together at a bed & breakfast. HAHA!

For dinner Dad took Mom to a little Mexican restaurant called Mike's Chex Mex. We even splurged and got virgin margaritas. They were yummy!!! We really enjoyed the food and will definitely go back.

Then we went for a walk around American Village. It wasn't raining when we got out of the car and Mom convinced Dad he didn't need the umbrella. As we went in one store and came back out it was raining pretty good. Dad even got Mom a new hand made outfit at one of the shops. It was a perfect fit!

It was a great evening and we were very glad the kids had so much fun!

They enjoyed pizza for dinner and then had popcorn while they watched Mary Poppins & Horton Hears a Who. They even had a great set up and got to sleep in Baachan & Jiichan's room with lots and lots of pillows. They stayed up late and enjoyed every minute they had with their grandparents.
