Day at the Pool

We woke up this morning and it felt good to somewhat sleep in....the dogs did great last night! We had pancakes for breakfast with sausage and juice. Then everyone got ready and we headed out but realized we needed Brayden's swimsuit because he forgot his. So off to Walmart we went. (some camping trip, we have not gone out to eat and shopping!)

Today was our day at the pool and the kids couldn't wait to go. When we arrived the line was super long to get in. Once we got settled we went in the lazy river and then swam in the different pools. We stayed for a few hours and then went back to the campsite for lunch.

Once we went to lunch we tried out the underwater camera more and Brayden practiced swimming in the tiny areas (he called the little hot tubs). He was more and more comfortable so he said he wanted to try out the slide. You have to be able to swim because they won't let you catch your kids. He went down one and the life guard says, "He's got it, he's got it." But he went the wrong way to get out and just couldn't swim anymore so the lifeguard had to jump in and help him.

The kids had fun going down slide after slide. Kaitlyn was also excited because we saw her teacher, Mrs. Thomas. She has missed seeing her everyday! Then they called us out for thunder and we looked up and it didn't look like it was going to let up. We packed up and headed out. By the time we got back to camp it was coming down.

After the rain stopped we started dinner, played card games and played around with soccer and volleyball some more. It was so nice to just sit and hang out as a family the rest of the evening. We also went for a walk around the park.

Learning to Hula

Today was a big day for Kaitlyn. We registered her for Kindergarten. It didn't quite go as planned for Mom though. We all got up early with Staci and took her to school. Then we got in line for the registration. Mom was feeling pretty good because we were like 12th one there. But as we waited for 45 minutes and got up to the front of the line they wouldn't put Kaitlyn's name on the list because we didn't have prove of our address. Mom wasn't aware that we needed it since we already have one child at the school and they should have this on file. They said they could give her the paperwork but that she couldn't be added to the list until they can verify where we live. Mom had to go home. She was furious and hoped that we could still get Kaitlyn into this school. Here in Pocatello they have open enrollment so you can take your kids where ever you want. This doesn't make any sense why it matters where you live then anyways but Mom hurried as quickly as she could...

Helpers in the Kitchen

Each night a different one of my children helps me make dinner. I have done this for awhile but have finally figured out the way to make it easier on myself. i get everything prepared ahead of time in little bowls just like they do on the Food Network. This way the kids just mix the ingredients in an easy way without having to measure stuff and the clean up is so much easier. I just tell them how much everything is as we are putting it together. Well tonight I made something super easy but it has the restaurant style look to it from a Pillsbury Cookbook (one of those small ones that are always by the register that my husband and I have a ton of because we pick them up all the time when we are out and about). I think my husband will be shocked, at least I hope he is... Monster Trucks

This morning the kids all slept in but we had to get them going since today was going to be a busy day. We made pancakes & eggs for breakfast. After we ate it was time for Staci to say good bye to Cami & take her home. They had a fun sleepover although Staci has been one onwry girl every since. So it will be a few weeks before she can have another sleep over, that is for sure. We left to go and get Dad's new toy, a new BBQ grill. We got it at Costco for a little more money than Mom had originally thought when Dad started searching a few months ago. But this grill has everything; an oven, ice box, a searing station, griddle and more. It is everything Dad wants in a BBQ. But now Dad can do all the big cooking outside and not use up the kitchen for the big dinners that he puts on for people. Dad is a great cook and Mom's know this will get plenty of use. Well we got home and then had to get Xander changed to be ready for his big game. It was his first t-ball game today and...
