Well after almost two years we finally all got this virus called Covid. We started off Monday morning just not feeling right and everyone was so tired. So the boys and I went down to the drive up testing site at ISU only to see the line snaked around the parking lot and out into the street. Xander guessed it would be a 2 hour wait as I thought there’s no way it’s two hours.
So we waited and waited and wait. During this time we saw someone get out with a nerf gun and shoot their family, one lady (same car) got out to tick the baby and the news crew showed up. We continued waiting and after 2 hours and 45 minutes we were done. Xander and I got the PSR since we were both directly exposed and Brayden just did the rapid. We took naps and just relaxed until 6 hours later when test results came in. Well rapid came back negative but we all knows we would just wait together remaining in quarantine for the 2 day tests. We called Kaitlyn who has slept at a friends to pick up a few groceries and then told her to come home. We watched movies and just relaxed a few days. By Wednesday results had come back positive and we knew it. Xander and I had the worst symptoms while Brayden had only a few. Kaitlyn had none but we all quarantined since we had all been together and never found out if Kaitlyn actually had it or not. So a week home of resting.
It was really quite boring most of the time. I worked on some computer stuff and watched movies the short time I wasn’t sleeping. I had felt like a truck had ran over my chest and can’t stop coughing plus a fever and chills off and on. Xander had no energy and just had body aches.
Brayden woke up Thursday just feeling awful and poor Kaitlyn just stayed in the basement locked in her room as much as possible. By Friday Brayden and I were the worst and Xander was feeling ok. His energy level dropped that night and he was down again. The boys enjoyed playing the switch and watching movies in the front room together.
Once Saturday night tooled around we decided to isolate more. Xander stayed upstairs as not to spread any germs to Kaitlyn while Brayden and I were in our rooms. We had a gate up in the hallway to keep the dogs out and hand sanitizer at the gate. Kaitlyn cooked & served food all week while I was stuck in bed.
Now we are going on week two and I done know what the week has in store for us.
