Daisy vs.Raptor

Was planning on taking the kids over to Deleta Skating today. So the kids were pretty good all morning and did what needed to be done around the house. Then we get ready to go skating only to find out after we get there that they are doing a private party and they are closed.

So we headed over to lunch at Artic Circle. We did have to run home because Brayden is potty training and we left with him in underwear. He did so good while we were out and didn't have an accident but Mom forgot to pack the pull ups & wipes. Once we got to lunch Brayden did go potty there. YEAH! The kids ate good and then ran around to get their energy out for a little while.

Mom told them we could go back tonight for family night with Dad to go skating and get pizza for dinner as well. After lunch we took Dad his lunch since he forgot it at home. But by the time we got home the kids had switched into whiny mode and Mom had heard just about enough.

Brayden took a nap and Mom kept warning the kids about losing skating later. But Kaitlyn & Xander kept at it and lost the chance to go. Staci was so sad and mostly because she was so excited to actually have Dad do something with us and have some family time together with everyone.

So Mom sent Dad a message and told him that Staci missed him so he took her out for a Daddy Daughter Date instead.

Mom put the rest of the kids to bed early and Staci took off for some one on one time. They went to Outer Limits and did laser tag. They had to wait a little so they got a ton of coins and played games while they waited in the arcade area.

Staci's code name was Daisy and Dad's was Raptor. They were the only two in the entire place and said they had so much fun. Here are the scores of the 4 games that they played.

Game 1: Daisy 2950 Raptor 5150
Game 2: Daisy 4500 Raptor 4500
Game 3: Daisy 3350 Raptor 6100
Game 4: Daisy 3550 Raptor 4100

After their games of laser tag they stopped at Farr ice cream and got some goodies. Staci was one happy girl when we got home and could not stop smiling. She told Mom all about it and didn't really want to go to bed. Thanks Dad for the fun night!!!

Learning to Hula

Today was a big day for Kaitlyn. We registered her for Kindergarten. It didn't quite go as planned for Mom though. We all got up early with Staci and took her to school. Then we got in line for the registration. Mom was feeling pretty good because we were like 12th one there. But as we waited for 45 minutes and got up to the front of the line they wouldn't put Kaitlyn's name on the list because we didn't have prove of our address. Mom wasn't aware that we needed it since we already have one child at the school and they should have this on file. They said they could give her the paperwork but that she couldn't be added to the list until they can verify where we live. Mom had to go home. She was furious and hoped that we could still get Kaitlyn into this school. Here in Pocatello they have open enrollment so you can take your kids where ever you want. This doesn't make any sense why it matters where you live then anyways but Mom hurried as quickly as she could...

Helpers in the Kitchen

Each night a different one of my children helps me make dinner. I have done this for awhile but have finally figured out the way to make it easier on myself. i get everything prepared ahead of time in little bowls just like they do on the Food Network. This way the kids just mix the ingredients in an easy way without having to measure stuff and the clean up is so much easier. I just tell them how much everything is as we are putting it together. Well tonight I made something super easy but it has the restaurant style look to it from a Pillsbury Cookbook (one of those small ones that are always by the register that my husband and I have a ton of because we pick them up all the time when we are out and about). I think my husband will be shocked, at least I hope he is... Monster Trucks

This morning the kids all slept in but we had to get them going since today was going to be a busy day. We made pancakes & eggs for breakfast. After we ate it was time for Staci to say good bye to Cami & take her home. They had a fun sleepover although Staci has been one onwry girl every since. So it will be a few weeks before she can have another sleep over, that is for sure. We left to go and get Dad's new toy, a new BBQ grill. We got it at Costco for a little more money than Mom had originally thought when Dad started searching a few months ago. But this grill has everything; an oven, ice box, a searing station, griddle and more. It is everything Dad wants in a BBQ. But now Dad can do all the big cooking outside and not use up the kitchen for the big dinners that he puts on for people. Dad is a great cook and Mom's know this will get plenty of use. Well we got home and then had to get Xander changed to be ready for his big game. It was his first t-ball game today and...
