It was a holiday, Martin Luther King Jr Day. The kids had the day off from school and we decided to take them hiking. We had heard of friends going to 49 Palms Trail. We packed up and brought the dogs. But when we got there they weren't allowed on the trail. So we decided to not go to far up the trail since the dogs had to sit in the car and luckily it wasn't too hot for them. We didn't make it all the way to the neat palm trees so we are going to go another time. Mom ran back down the hill to let the dogs out while Dad walked back down the trail with all the kids. They thought it was very fun and hope to go hiking more often. Brayden had the best seat; he is still small enough to fit in our child pack.
