Dinner and a Movie

It was a beautiful morning and everyone but Mom was in shorts & t-shirts for golf lessons. Mom sat inside with Brayden and played checkers & dominoes. The kids are really starting to get golf better. Each week they are hitting the ball better. They are loving it!!!

After golf we shopped for food at the commissary and then while Mom was cleaning & finishing folding laundry the kids played outside. They rode bikes and we had lunch.

Our friends, The Caldwell's invited us to Palm Springs for dinner & a movie. We first went to Lumpy's (golf store) and Costco. Dad got a new wedge for his golf set with a few new grips. Costco was so busy! We went in for wipes and the kids were excited to try all the different samples. When we got to the back Kaitlyn asked Mom if she was buying some oxyclean. When we said no, Kaitlyn said, "Why not. It gets the stains out." It was hilarious! Too much tv for that girl.

We met Bambi & Rich at Old Speghetti Factory for dinner. The kids all sat at one end of the table while the adults sat on the other. All seven kids ordered macaroni & cheese with applesauce except for Staci, she ordered ravioli with a salad.

When we got to the movie theater a security guy came by our cars with his golf cart and offered us a ride. The Dad's decided to walk after seeing us all pile onto the golf cart & the sound of it when he took off was kind of funny! The kids thought they were on a ride at an amusement park. They had their hands in the air and were screaming! That man made their day. We got out and said thank you.

After paying for the movie 'Escape from Planet Earth' it was 54.00 for the 6 of us. We realized they gave us a military discount but for 6 adults. We got a refund of $7.00 but still couldn't believe how much the movies are now. We don't pay full price very often. The movie was too bad although Brayden thought it was kind of scary! After the movie we went out the back door and were in the back alley of the theater. We didn't even get popcorn or anything but the sound of our kids was so funny! They were so loud and so excited running back to the car! We really had a good time but wish we didn't have to drive so long to get home.

The kids all fell asleep on the way home and were quick to get in pajamas and into bed by 9:00 pm.

Learning to Hula

Today was a big day for Kaitlyn. We registered her for Kindergarten. It didn't quite go as planned for Mom though. We all got up early with Staci and took her to school. Then we got in line for the registration. Mom was feeling pretty good because we were like 12th one there. But as we waited for 45 minutes and got up to the front of the line they wouldn't put Kaitlyn's name on the list because we didn't have prove of our address. Mom wasn't aware that we needed it since we already have one child at the school and they should have this on file. They said they could give her the paperwork but that she couldn't be added to the list until they can verify where we live. Mom had to go home. She was furious and hoped that we could still get Kaitlyn into this school. Here in Pocatello they have open enrollment so you can take your kids where ever you want. This doesn't make any sense why it matters where you live then anyways but Mom hurried as quickly as she could...

Monster Trucks

This morning the kids all slept in but we had to get them going since today was going to be a busy day. We made pancakes & eggs for breakfast. After we ate it was time for Staci to say good bye to Cami & take her home. They had a fun sleepover although Staci has been one onwry girl every since. So it will be a few weeks before she can have another sleep over, that is for sure. We left to go and get Dad's new toy, a new BBQ grill. We got it at Costco for a little more money than Mom had originally thought when Dad started searching a few months ago. But this grill has everything; an oven, ice box, a searing station, griddle and more. It is everything Dad wants in a BBQ. But now Dad can do all the big cooking outside and not use up the kitchen for the big dinners that he puts on for people. Dad is a great cook and Mom's know this will get plenty of use. Well we got home and then had to get Xander changed to be ready for his big game. It was his first t-ball game today and...
