We Forgot the Snacks

The kids woke up early and didn't want to leave their friends. We ended up staying a little longer than planned but it made the kids all happy! We made it about 45 minutes from their house when Brayden lost the lid to a marker. We pulled over and the kids were hungry so she was going to grab a snack. But looking she remembered that our cooler (cute one from Thirty~one Bags) was still in our friends fridge. So we turned around and met them on their way to swim lessons.

Once we got there Mom gave each of the kids a bag of apples. Brayden had already eaten one and Staci said hers tasted funny! Mom had just stuck one her in mouth when she realized they were all moldy. So we quickly threw those out and started on another snack. When five minutes later Brayden complained about his tummy hurting! Mom thought oh no!! Luckily he fell asleep shortly after that and was fine.

We made it to Salt Lake and the kids were so ready to see their cousins and Grandma & Grandpa! They were all waiting on the front lawn. The kids kept saying that their butts hurt and then Xander said, "Let's just get out of the car and scream!" Mom just kept thinking you just wait for our trek to North Caroline here in a few months.

When Mom met Aspen for the first time she cried, big surprise!! Sasha called it to Jason before they arrived and he just said, "Why would she cry." But he was right and she had no idea why she cried either.

We just relaxing and sat around until Mom took Grandma & Grandpa to the airport for a Fletcher family reunion in Texas with Heather. Jason watched all the kids and got pizza for dinner. Then Mom watched Aspen while they went to the movie. She had fun listening to this happy little girl who kept her smiling and laughing the whole night. When they got back everyone was still awake. Brayden had woken up Aspen and the kids were excited to meet their new Aunt. Mom felt so yucky (traveling all day, tired and needing a shower) but she was so happy to finally meet Jason's new family members.

Learning to Hula

Today was a big day for Kaitlyn. We registered her for Kindergarten. It didn't quite go as planned for Mom though. We all got up early with Staci and took her to school. Then we got in line for the registration. Mom was feeling pretty good because we were like 12th one there. But as we waited for 45 minutes and got up to the front of the line they wouldn't put Kaitlyn's name on the list because we didn't have prove of our address. Mom wasn't aware that we needed it since we already have one child at the school and they should have this on file. They said they could give her the paperwork but that she couldn't be added to the list until they can verify where we live. Mom had to go home. She was furious and hoped that we could still get Kaitlyn into this school. Here in Pocatello they have open enrollment so you can take your kids where ever you want. This doesn't make any sense why it matters where you live then anyways but Mom hurried as quickly as she could...

Helpers in the Kitchen

Each night a different one of my children helps me make dinner. I have done this for awhile but have finally figured out the way to make it easier on myself. i get everything prepared ahead of time in little bowls just like they do on the Food Network. This way the kids just mix the ingredients in an easy way without having to measure stuff and the clean up is so much easier. I just tell them how much everything is as we are putting it together. Well tonight I made something super easy but it has the restaurant style look to it from a Pillsbury Cookbook (one of those small ones that are always by the register that my husband and I have a ton of because we pick them up all the time when we are out and about). I think my husband will be shocked, at least I hope he is... Monster Trucks

This morning the kids all slept in but we had to get them going since today was going to be a busy day. We made pancakes & eggs for breakfast. After we ate it was time for Staci to say good bye to Cami & take her home. They had a fun sleepover although Staci has been one onwry girl every since. So it will be a few weeks before she can have another sleep over, that is for sure. We left to go and get Dad's new toy, a new BBQ grill. We got it at Costco for a little more money than Mom had originally thought when Dad started searching a few months ago. But this grill has everything; an oven, ice box, a searing station, griddle and more. It is everything Dad wants in a BBQ. But now Dad can do all the big cooking outside and not use up the kitchen for the big dinners that he puts on for people. Dad is a great cook and Mom's know this will get plenty of use. Well we got home and then had to get Xander changed to be ready for his big game. It was his first t-ball game today and...
