Sweet Frogs

This morning Staci had to be to the school at 7:50 for a gymnastics performance. After taking her I worked on school work for a little while the kids each did some chores. The plan was to leave early so we wouldn't be late for Staci's performance at 10:15. We didn't get out the door at 9:45 and because of that we missed her performance. As we were parking she texted and said that we missed it! We felt so bad!! She said she did good and hopefully they will post it on youtube.

I did a little more school work after we picked Staci up from the school. Then we all went to the grocery store. We are doing a fun little football party tomorrow and were getting some fun dishes for the big game.

We had dinner a little early of beef dip sandwiches. Then headed over to Costco. We barely made it before they closed. Then we met Kaitlyn's teacher from last year (Mrs. Thomas) at Sweet Frogs.

Kaitlyn has been so excited to see her and we have had to reschedule things so many times. It was fun to visit and see her! They each had gifts for each other. She had a cute earring holder and Kaitlyn had made her a bracelet with a letter. The kids each bought their own yogurts and were really good this time about how many toppings they put on. Kaitlyn spent less than $3 and the other 3 spent less than $4. They were surprised how much it added up with how little they got; but we still love sweet frogs and will got back many more times!!

When we got home it was time for showers and then bedtime. We were going to watch another movie but baths took a little longer and the kids weren't happy that the movie didn't happen.

I had to get a little more school work in and actually nodded off a few times taking an assessment. It has been a long day and I was super tired! This was a long week of school work with my science class. Hoping next week is better!!

Learning to Hula

Today was a big day for Kaitlyn. We registered her for Kindergarten. It didn't quite go as planned for Mom though. We all got up early with Staci and took her to school. Then we got in line for the registration. Mom was feeling pretty good because we were like 12th one there. But as we waited for 45 minutes and got up to the front of the line they wouldn't put Kaitlyn's name on the list because we didn't have prove of our address. Mom wasn't aware that we needed it since we already have one child at the school and they should have this on file. They said they could give her the paperwork but that she couldn't be added to the list until they can verify where we live. Mom had to go home. She was furious and hoped that we could still get Kaitlyn into this school. Here in Pocatello they have open enrollment so you can take your kids where ever you want. This doesn't make any sense why it matters where you live then anyways but Mom hurried as quickly as she could...

Helpers in the Kitchen

Each night a different one of my children helps me make dinner. I have done this for awhile but have finally figured out the way to make it easier on myself. i get everything prepared ahead of time in little bowls just like they do on the Food Network. This way the kids just mix the ingredients in an easy way without having to measure stuff and the clean up is so much easier. I just tell them how much everything is as we are putting it together. Well tonight I made something super easy but it has the restaurant style look to it from a Pillsbury Cookbook (one of those small ones that are always by the register that my husband and I have a ton of because we pick them up all the time when we are out and about). I think my husband will be shocked, at least I hope he is... Monster Trucks

This morning the kids all slept in but we had to get them going since today was going to be a busy day. We made pancakes & eggs for breakfast. After we ate it was time for Staci to say good bye to Cami & take her home. They had a fun sleepover although Staci has been one onwry girl every since. So it will be a few weeks before she can have another sleep over, that is for sure. We left to go and get Dad's new toy, a new BBQ grill. We got it at Costco for a little more money than Mom had originally thought when Dad started searching a few months ago. But this grill has everything; an oven, ice box, a searing station, griddle and more. It is everything Dad wants in a BBQ. But now Dad can do all the big cooking outside and not use up the kitchen for the big dinners that he puts on for people. Dad is a great cook and Mom's know this will get plenty of use. Well we got home and then had to get Xander changed to be ready for his big game. It was his first t-ball game today and...
