We Are Back!!!

Over the last several months we have really come closer together as a family. Through a back injury at work I have had to cut back at work a lot. It hasn’t been the easiest at work or at home. It’s amazing how much hurting your back can affect so many things. My kids have been amazing and they have helped out so much at home. Not only taking care of mom but also helping out more around the house. Staci has become the new taxi and has been really happy that I have been feeling better and back to my normal routine.

Tomorrow I start back with full schedule and completely off of any light duty activities. We have really been playing a lot of games as a family and had a lot of movie night.

Today was our first day starting back at church with the full two hour block it was really nice to be able to sing at church again. Music is a very important part of our lives and hearing the music has been great; but it was really nice to hear the words and actually get to sing with everyone. Life has been a little different over the last few months during this pandemic but we have tried to hang in there the best that we can. If anything it has made us realize just how important things are and to remember the little things in life.

As we finish up the school year, there may be some changes happening in our family. These are exciting and we can’t wait to share with you what these changes are. We know this is what we are supposed to do and the direction we are supposed to go in. You can’t go wrong when you follow the spirit! We have been so grateful to have so much support and help through friends and the church through these past few months.

This is a new goal for me to start blogging again & to start keeping a better history of our family. I have used a lot of social media and I’m going to start getting back into this form. This family of mine sure keeps me smiling and they are so funny and the things that we do together. It’s in a small moments that I realize just how lucky we are with these amazing kids.

Our most recent adventure was last night when I noticed that Brayden have a little different of a haircut in the back. I guess when you have a mama’s hairdresser and she recently cuts her hair off and you’re feeling that your hair is itchy and you just need a haircut; that you just take matters into your own hands. He even use the technique of holding the hair with the one fingers and then cutting with this shears. He was very good to clean it all up and have it all put away so I didn’t even know. I have to give him credit for trying it just made us all smile really big. He even got up around his ears. He seriously keeps me smiling all day long!

Even though at times he can get frustrated and lets his temper get the best of them; the good moments always outweigh the bad moments.

So tonight all of the kids got haircuts…I guess this busy Mom needs to get back into a good schedule. We’ve been out of a normal routine for a few months now. Just in time for the last few weeks of school!!

I love this family of mine and I want change it for anything! ❤❤❤

Learning to Hula

Today was a big day for Kaitlyn. We registered her for Kindergarten. It didn't quite go as planned for Mom though. We all got up early with Staci and took her to school. Then we got in line for the registration. Mom was feeling pretty good because we were like 12th one there. But as we waited for 45 minutes and got up to the front of the line they wouldn't put Kaitlyn's name on the list because we didn't have prove of our address. Mom wasn't aware that we needed it since we already have one child at the school and they should have this on file. They said they could give her the paperwork but that she couldn't be added to the list until they can verify where we live. Mom had to go home. She was furious and hoped that we could still get Kaitlyn into this school. Here in Pocatello they have open enrollment so you can take your kids where ever you want. This doesn't make any sense why it matters where you live then anyways but Mom hurried as quickly as she could...

Helpers in the Kitchen

Each night a different one of my children helps me make dinner. I have done this for awhile but have finally figured out the way to make it easier on myself. i get everything prepared ahead of time in little bowls just like they do on the Food Network. This way the kids just mix the ingredients in an easy way without having to measure stuff and the clean up is so much easier. I just tell them how much everything is as we are putting it together. Well tonight I made something super easy but it has the restaurant style look to it from a Pillsbury Cookbook (one of those small ones that are always by the register that my husband and I have a ton of because we pick them up all the time when we are out and about). I think my husband will be shocked, at least I hope he is... Monster Trucks

This morning the kids all slept in but we had to get them going since today was going to be a busy day. We made pancakes & eggs for breakfast. After we ate it was time for Staci to say good bye to Cami & take her home. They had a fun sleepover although Staci has been one onwry girl every since. So it will be a few weeks before she can have another sleep over, that is for sure. We left to go and get Dad's new toy, a new BBQ grill. We got it at Costco for a little more money than Mom had originally thought when Dad started searching a few months ago. But this grill has everything; an oven, ice box, a searing station, griddle and more. It is everything Dad wants in a BBQ. But now Dad can do all the big cooking outside and not use up the kitchen for the big dinners that he puts on for people. Dad is a great cook and Mom's know this will get plenty of use. Well we got home and then had to get Xander changed to be ready for his big game. It was his first t-ball game today and...
