Changes Soon

We love it here with Grandma & Grandpa but it is a little crowded. There are four families living here and things are tight, especially with having 5 dogs, 2 cats, a turtle and fish. That doesn't include the 7 adults and 6 children living here as well. What a household! 

Mom found out that her uncle Darrin was moving out of her grandparents home and contacted her Grandpa. They were more than happy to help out and we will be moving over there to their basement soon. We are very grateful and can't wait! 

We visited Darrin today and got to meet his darling little girl Avery who is 15 months old now. She is a cutie! Xander kept taking her toys and then when Mom told him she was sharing with him and they aren't his toys. He would look at Avery and says, "These a not a toys." 

For lunch we ran to McDonalds and then came home to take a long nap. Mom and Xander are the only ones who slept though. Kaitlyn & Staci slept in until 10:30 today so Kaitlyn wasn't ready to sleep byt 2:30 for some reason. It will be so nice when we are adjusted to this new time zone. 

Mom made a yummy dinner tonight...fresh corn on the cob with some fruit & bakes beans. She has missed dinners like this. The corn is Okinawa just isn't the same.

Learning to Hula

Today was a big day for Kaitlyn. We registered her for Kindergarten. It didn't quite go as planned for Mom though. We all got up early with Staci and took her to school. Then we got in line for the registration. Mom was feeling pretty good because we were like 12th one there. But as we waited for 45 minutes and got up to the front of the line they wouldn't put Kaitlyn's name on the list because we didn't have prove of our address. Mom wasn't aware that we needed it since we already have one child at the school and they should have this on file. They said they could give her the paperwork but that she couldn't be added to the list until they can verify where we live. Mom had to go home. She was furious and hoped that we could still get Kaitlyn into this school. Here in Pocatello they have open enrollment so you can take your kids where ever you want. This doesn't make any sense why it matters where you live then anyways but Mom hurried as quickly as she could...

Helpers in the Kitchen

Each night a different one of my children helps me make dinner. I have done this for awhile but have finally figured out the way to make it easier on myself. i get everything prepared ahead of time in little bowls just like they do on the Food Network. This way the kids just mix the ingredients in an easy way without having to measure stuff and the clean up is so much easier. I just tell them how much everything is as we are putting it together. Well tonight I made something super easy but it has the restaurant style look to it from a Pillsbury Cookbook (one of those small ones that are always by the register that my husband and I have a ton of because we pick them up all the time when we are out and about). I think my husband will be shocked, at least I hope he is... Monster Trucks

This morning the kids all slept in but we had to get them going since today was going to be a busy day. We made pancakes & eggs for breakfast. After we ate it was time for Staci to say good bye to Cami & take her home. They had a fun sleepover although Staci has been one onwry girl every since. So it will be a few weeks before she can have another sleep over, that is for sure. We left to go and get Dad's new toy, a new BBQ grill. We got it at Costco for a little more money than Mom had originally thought when Dad started searching a few months ago. But this grill has everything; an oven, ice box, a searing station, griddle and more. It is everything Dad wants in a BBQ. But now Dad can do all the big cooking outside and not use up the kitchen for the big dinners that he puts on for people. Dad is a great cook and Mom's know this will get plenty of use.
