Not Ready for Work

Well Dad started back at work today and Staci started back at school. It was an early morning. Mom was going to wake everyone up when Staci wakes up but changed her mind this morning when the house was quiet and everyone was peacefully sleeping.
Staci was so excited to go back to school and was ready to go with coat on and everything 15 minutes early. She asked if she could walk up the hill by herself today though. Mom hates her doing that but knows she needs to let go someday. It is just so dark and Mom hates the idea of her walking all alone.
Mom was feeling great all day. We just played around the house most of the day and Mom didn't do a thing. We even played mexican train when Staci got home from school while Brayden was sleeping.
Then Mom was starting to get Xander ready for Taekwondo that starts at 4:00 when the phone rang at 3:30. It was Xander's instructor Daniel asking if we were coming today. Mom said yes we would be there at 4:00 to which he responded that the class was starting right now. Mom totally got the times mixed up. But she was able to get him there so he could have half of his class today. There is still no one in his class yet but he assures us that there will be another boy starting next week.
We came home and had left overs for dinner and then headed out once again for Kaitlyn & Staci's classes. Kaitlyn starts at 5:30 and Staci starts her tumbling at 6:00. We finish at 7:30.
Well with how great Mom was feeling that all changed part way through the night. Brayden is now faster than ever and doesn't stay anywhere for more than two seconds. He is such a busy boy. He was climbing over to the ramp and headed for the pit a few times. Then there was a hole in the wall and he thought that would be fun to play in. Then he put crackers in the soda machine. Mom was up and down and up and down for 2 hours straight.
We got home and did the fastest showers ever. Mom had them not even shut the water off in between kids. It was clean yourselves and get out. Then stories, prayer and into bed. Mom laid on the couch in pain the rest of the night while Brayden destroyed the downstairs before he went to bed.
Dad did get home before Brayden went to sleep and can't believe how busy of a little boy Brayden is becoming. He took care of him and let Mom just rest. We watched the Bachelor and the food network before going to sleep.

Learning to Hula

Today was a big day for Kaitlyn. We registered her for Kindergarten. It didn't quite go as planned for Mom though. We all got up early with Staci and took her to school. Then we got in line for the registration. Mom was feeling pretty good because we were like 12th one there. But as we waited for 45 minutes and got up to the front of the line they wouldn't put Kaitlyn's name on the list because we didn't have prove of our address. Mom wasn't aware that we needed it since we already have one child at the school and they should have this on file. They said they could give her the paperwork but that she couldn't be added to the list until they can verify where we live. Mom had to go home. She was furious and hoped that we could still get Kaitlyn into this school. Here in Pocatello they have open enrollment so you can take your kids where ever you want. This doesn't make any sense why it matters where you live then anyways but Mom hurried as quickly as she could...

Helpers in the Kitchen

Each night a different one of my children helps me make dinner. I have done this for awhile but have finally figured out the way to make it easier on myself. i get everything prepared ahead of time in little bowls just like they do on the Food Network. This way the kids just mix the ingredients in an easy way without having to measure stuff and the clean up is so much easier. I just tell them how much everything is as we are putting it together. Well tonight I made something super easy but it has the restaurant style look to it from a Pillsbury Cookbook (one of those small ones that are always by the register that my husband and I have a ton of because we pick them up all the time when we are out and about). I think my husband will be shocked, at least I hope he is... Monster Trucks

This morning the kids all slept in but we had to get them going since today was going to be a busy day. We made pancakes & eggs for breakfast. After we ate it was time for Staci to say good bye to Cami & take her home. They had a fun sleepover although Staci has been one onwry girl every since. So it will be a few weeks before she can have another sleep over, that is for sure. We left to go and get Dad's new toy, a new BBQ grill. We got it at Costco for a little more money than Mom had originally thought when Dad started searching a few months ago. But this grill has everything; an oven, ice box, a searing station, griddle and more. It is everything Dad wants in a BBQ. But now Dad can do all the big cooking outside and not use up the kitchen for the big dinners that he puts on for people. Dad is a great cook and Mom's know this will get plenty of use. Well we got home and then had to get Xander changed to be ready for his big game. It was his first t-ball game today and...
