Bittersweet

Staci had two more teeth pulled today at the dentist. Now with four spaces her teeth will hopefully have room to come in. She was brave at first but cried this time because she said it hurt when he pulled them. She just keeps telling everyone that she wishes she didn't have Rimington teeth with a Carroll mouth...Why can't she just have one families mouth and teeth together. Sorry Staci! She was so embarrassed with the cotton in her mouth and was not happy that she couldn't play for the day. It took a little longer to clot this time as well and that didn't help her attitiude about it either.

In the afternoon Mom helped out a friend and watched Staci's friend Cami and her little sister. The kids enjoyed having someone over to play with, except for when Staci couldn't join in on all the activities. Mom also did a few hair appointments this afternoon and then Dad worked on the yard. He mowed the back yard and got the sprinklers all hooked up. He also painted Kaitlyn's bed. With the weather so nice it seems like we got so much done today.

After much consideration we have decided to let the jeep go. We only had it online for sale less than a week and now it is gone today. It was such a fun jeep and we were so sad to see it go but we had to make a decision. The kids can't wait to ride the motorcycle now that Dad has his motorcycle license.

For dinner we had belgian waffles, one of our kids favorite meals. They just love the recipe we found. Thanks to Emeril our kids just gobble them up. We let the kids stay up later tonight and so showers & baths were taken later than usual. Once they were all in bed they fell asleep pretty quickly after a long day of fun & work.

Learning to Hula

Today was a big day for Kaitlyn. We registered her for Kindergarten. It didn't quite go as planned for Mom though. We all got up early with Staci and took her to school. Then we got in line for the registration. Mom was feeling pretty good because we were like 12th one there. But as we waited for 45 minutes and got up to the front of the line they wouldn't put Kaitlyn's name on the list because we didn't have prove of our address. Mom wasn't aware that we needed it since we already have one child at the school and they should have this on file. They said they could give her the paperwork but that she couldn't be added to the list until they can verify where we live. Mom had to go home. She was furious and hoped that we could still get Kaitlyn into this school. Here in Pocatello they have open enrollment so you can take your kids where ever you want. This doesn't make any sense why it matters where you live then anyways but Mom hurried as quickly as she could...

Helpers in the Kitchen

Each night a different one of my children helps me make dinner. I have done this for awhile but have finally figured out the way to make it easier on myself. i get everything prepared ahead of time in little bowls just like they do on the Food Network. This way the kids just mix the ingredients in an easy way without having to measure stuff and the clean up is so much easier. I just tell them how much everything is as we are putting it together. Well tonight I made something super easy but it has the restaurant style look to it from a Pillsbury Cookbook (one of those small ones that are always by the register that my husband and I have a ton of because we pick them up all the time when we are out and about). I think my husband will be shocked, at least I hope he is... Monster Trucks

This morning the kids all slept in but we had to get them going since today was going to be a busy day. We made pancakes & eggs for breakfast. After we ate it was time for Staci to say good bye to Cami & take her home. They had a fun sleepover although Staci has been one onwry girl every since. So it will be a few weeks before she can have another sleep over, that is for sure. We left to go and get Dad's new toy, a new BBQ grill. We got it at Costco for a little more money than Mom had originally thought when Dad started searching a few months ago. But this grill has everything; an oven, ice box, a searing station, griddle and more. It is everything Dad wants in a BBQ. But now Dad can do all the big cooking outside and not use up the kitchen for the big dinners that he puts on for people. Dad is a great cook and Mom's know this will get plenty of use. Well we got home and then had to get Xander changed to be ready for his big game. It was his first t-ball game today and...
