Overwhelmed

With how things went last week and looking over my new schedule I can't even describe the way that I am feeling. I love that we are able to afford to have the kids in sports and that they are able to have things that they need. But it takes a tole on me. I have been feeling so ever whelmed with everything. To keep everything straight is a nightmare and my energy levels have been so up & down. I fall asleep sitting on the couch playing games with my kids. Yesterday morning I was getting the boys dressed and when they were putting their clothes in the dirty clothes I fell asleep on Brayden's bed. I woke up to Cooper (our lab) above my head within inches dripping water on me. He must have just gotten a drink. My husband says he was probably just making sure I was okay. But it was still as surprise to wake up to.

I even did something crazy, but it actually was my fault. I dropped Xander off at his preschool for the first time with this group yesterday. I knew what time I needed to go back & pick him up. But after going to a friends house I got distracted with the time when we got talking and didn't realize the time. After figuring out the time and rushing to pick up my son, I was 45 minutes late picking him up. Whoops!

Just to give you an idea of my family's new schedule here it is...

Saturdays (Soccer Games 11:00 & 12:00, Kids Dates rotating with Daddy, Date Night)
Try and fit all the groceries, special one on one time with each of my children, doctors and other appointments into that. I may need a nap some days.

So I relied on the Lord and have decided that to keep my sanity & calmness I needed to ask for a blessing from my husband. It is such a blessing that my husband holds the priesthood and is able to give blessings. I need to be better about asking for blessings. So he gave me a blessing late last night before we went to bed. When I woke up this morning, I felt such a peace. I was happy & knew that even though Tuesdays are my hardest days I was going to get through it with a smile on my face. And when my husband got home, the first thing he asked was how my day went. I was very happy to tell him that it went good and that I had a good day. I love my husband so much for the support he gives me, even though at times I may get upset for the little things. I know I need to look at the whole picture & be grateful for all that I have. I also love my family very much and know that I can make it through all of this because I am sure there are other families with crazier schedules. They bring me so much happiness & joy. The little smiles on their faces  & their little hugs keeps me going every minute of the day.

Learning to Hula

Today was a big day for Kaitlyn. We registered her for Kindergarten. It didn't quite go as planned for Mom though. We all got up early with Staci and took her to school. Then we got in line for the registration. Mom was feeling pretty good because we were like 12th one there. But as we waited for 45 minutes and got up to the front of the line they wouldn't put Kaitlyn's name on the list because we didn't have prove of our address. Mom wasn't aware that we needed it since we already have one child at the school and they should have this on file. They said they could give her the paperwork but that she couldn't be added to the list until they can verify where we live. Mom had to go home. She was furious and hoped that we could still get Kaitlyn into this school. Here in Pocatello they have open enrollment so you can take your kids where ever you want. This doesn't make any sense why it matters where you live then anyways but Mom hurried as quickly as she could...

Helpers in the Kitchen

Each night a different one of my children helps me make dinner. I have done this for awhile but have finally figured out the way to make it easier on myself. i get everything prepared ahead of time in little bowls just like they do on the Food Network. This way the kids just mix the ingredients in an easy way without having to measure stuff and the clean up is so much easier. I just tell them how much everything is as we are putting it together. Well tonight I made something super easy but it has the restaurant style look to it from a Pillsbury Cookbook (one of those small ones that are always by the register that my husband and I have a ton of because we pick them up all the time when we are out and about). I think my husband will be shocked, at least I hope he is... Monster Trucks

This morning the kids all slept in but we had to get them going since today was going to be a busy day. We made pancakes & eggs for breakfast. After we ate it was time for Staci to say good bye to Cami & take her home. They had a fun sleepover although Staci has been one onwry girl every since. So it will be a few weeks before she can have another sleep over, that is for sure. We left to go and get Dad's new toy, a new BBQ grill. We got it at Costco for a little more money than Mom had originally thought when Dad started searching a few months ago. But this grill has everything; an oven, ice box, a searing station, griddle and more. It is everything Dad wants in a BBQ. But now Dad can do all the big cooking outside and not use up the kitchen for the big dinners that he puts on for people. Dad is a great cook and Mom's know this will get plenty of use. Well we got home and then had to get Xander changed to be ready for his big game. It was his first t-ball game today and...
