Strawberries

My husband got home at 2:30 in the morning last night and was still up with all the kids by 9:00. We were surprised that they all slept in, well almost all of them. I had a little bit of a not so fun early morning.

First I was woken up by Brayden at about 3:00 with Brayden needing to go potty but he had already gone in his bed. Then as she got him cleaned up and back to sleep, she was laying with him on the floor when Xander woke up about 6:00 and almost threw up. I got him back to sleep but by 6:30 he had come back into our room because he threw up in his bed. So after getting him cleaned up and asleep on the floor with Brayden she crawled back into bed about 7:00 only to be woken up shortly after by Brayden ready to watch Mickey Mouse.

When my husband got up he made breakfast for everyone, buttermilk pancakes. They were so yummy! While I worked on doing the laundry and cleaning up the boys room.

We then got ready and headed to Lowe's for another purchase of items to finish up some projects. We bought two new doors, one for the master bedroom and one for the toy room upstairs. We also bought some tomato plants and I was so excited to finally see strawberries. I had a spot and has been wanting to plant them.

Once we got home I left to go help out with a Jamberry party that my friend Tiffany was doing. It was her first party since signing up under me & I went as support & help if she needed it. The party was combined with a Thirty-One party, which my sister sells as well. So I was excited to see the new stuff that just came out with the new catalog.

My husband was home with the kids all day and I left her party early so I could take Staci out for Special Saturday with Mom. Staci picked the movie, The Lorax. We had a good bonding time watching the movie; even though at one point I realized she had turned into my father and was asleep during the middle of the movie. Whoops! I was kind of tired with the busy night and day. We couldn't believe that between the two of us we had almost eaten an entire large popcorn. It was a very cute movie!!

We got home in just enough time for me to do another load of laundry and have the kids get started on helping their dad with dinner. My husband had managed to clean up the garage, plant the strawberries, the tomato plants, and put in two doors. I was quite impressed with all that and the kids were all happy & playing well together. But he was exhausted but still made us steaks & corn on the cob for dinner.
I ate quickly and then left for the adult session of our stake conference. It was a good meeting and I really enjoyed it! When I got home the kids were all in bed and my husband was working on yet another project. He is building a gun rack for one of the marines and was hoping to get most of it done today.

All in all it was a good but busy day.

Learning to Hula

Today was a big day for Kaitlyn. We registered her for Kindergarten. It didn't quite go as planned for Mom though. We all got up early with Staci and took her to school. Then we got in line for the registration. Mom was feeling pretty good because we were like 12th one there. But as we waited for 45 minutes and got up to the front of the line they wouldn't put Kaitlyn's name on the list because we didn't have prove of our address. Mom wasn't aware that we needed it since we already have one child at the school and they should have this on file. They said they could give her the paperwork but that she couldn't be added to the list until they can verify where we live. Mom had to go home. She was furious and hoped that we could still get Kaitlyn into this school. Here in Pocatello they have open enrollment so you can take your kids where ever you want. This doesn't make any sense why it matters where you live then anyways but Mom hurried as quickly as she could...

Helpers in the Kitchen

Each night a different one of my children helps me make dinner. I have done this for awhile but have finally figured out the way to make it easier on myself. i get everything prepared ahead of time in little bowls just like they do on the Food Network. This way the kids just mix the ingredients in an easy way without having to measure stuff and the clean up is so much easier. I just tell them how much everything is as we are putting it together. Well tonight I made something super easy but it has the restaurant style look to it from a Pillsbury Cookbook (one of those small ones that are always by the register that my husband and I have a ton of because we pick them up all the time when we are out and about). I think my husband will be shocked, at least I hope he is... Monster Trucks

This morning the kids all slept in but we had to get them going since today was going to be a busy day. We made pancakes & eggs for breakfast. After we ate it was time for Staci to say good bye to Cami & take her home. They had a fun sleepover although Staci has been one onwry girl every since. So it will be a few weeks before she can have another sleep over, that is for sure. We left to go and get Dad's new toy, a new BBQ grill. We got it at Costco for a little more money than Mom had originally thought when Dad started searching a few months ago. But this grill has everything; an oven, ice box, a searing station, griddle and more. It is everything Dad wants in a BBQ. But now Dad can do all the big cooking outside and not use up the kitchen for the big dinners that he puts on for people. Dad is a great cook and Mom's know this will get plenty of use. Well we got home and then had to get Xander changed to be ready for his big game. It was his first t-ball game today and...
