Last Day

The kids were up a little earlier than we expected with how late they were up last night. Mom was kind of not feeling so hot thing morning so Dad fed the kids breakfast. We had silver dollar pancakes that the kids just gobbled up.

Then we spent the morning cleaning the house while Dad added the trim to the back door outside. We changed out the french doors a few years ago and added a sliding glass door but we have gotten more than a things done around the house with out completing the project and this was one of them. He ran out of wood before he could complete the project.

We took a break and watched 'The Lorax' one more time with Dad this time. Then we had lunch and everyone had some quiet time before starting again with finishing cleaning the house. We had just the bathrooms & kitchen left to tackle.

Dad headed back up to the fair for his last day of work there. He was hoping it would be a nice day but that they could pack up early so he wouldn't be home so late tonight.

Once the kids woke up from their naps we headed out to get dog food since they were completely out. The dogs go through their food so fast it seems.

While we were out Mom was being nice and bought the kids dinner with her Jamberry money at Wendy's. She even got the kids frosties. But made a deal that once we got home it was bath time and then right to bed. It took a little for the kids to get through the tub and they ended up in bed by 8:30, although again Brayden didn't want to go to sleep. What is going on with that kid?
Mom sat on the phone with DirecTV trying to figure out our account and then updated our family website with Disneyland photos. Dad got home late again but earlier than last night.

Learning to Hula

Today was a big day for Kaitlyn. We registered her for Kindergarten. It didn't quite go as planned for Mom though. We all got up early with Staci and took her to school. Then we got in line for the registration. Mom was feeling pretty good because we were like 12th one there. But as we waited for 45 minutes and got up to the front of the line they wouldn't put Kaitlyn's name on the list because we didn't have prove of our address. Mom wasn't aware that we needed it since we already have one child at the school and they should have this on file. They said they could give her the paperwork but that she couldn't be added to the list until they can verify where we live. Mom had to go home. She was furious and hoped that we could still get Kaitlyn into this school. Here in Pocatello they have open enrollment so you can take your kids where ever you want. This doesn't make any sense why it matters where you live then anyways but Mom hurried as quickly as she could...

Helpers in the Kitchen

Each night a different one of my children helps me make dinner. I have done this for awhile but have finally figured out the way to make it easier on myself. i get everything prepared ahead of time in little bowls just like they do on the Food Network. This way the kids just mix the ingredients in an easy way without having to measure stuff and the clean up is so much easier. I just tell them how much everything is as we are putting it together. Well tonight I made something super easy but it has the restaurant style look to it from a Pillsbury Cookbook (one of those small ones that are always by the register that my husband and I have a ton of because we pick them up all the time when we are out and about). I think my husband will be shocked, at least I hope he is... Monster Trucks

This morning the kids all slept in but we had to get them going since today was going to be a busy day. We made pancakes & eggs for breakfast. After we ate it was time for Staci to say good bye to Cami & take her home. They had a fun sleepover although Staci has been one onwry girl every since. So it will be a few weeks before she can have another sleep over, that is for sure. We left to go and get Dad's new toy, a new BBQ grill. We got it at Costco for a little more money than Mom had originally thought when Dad started searching a few months ago. But this grill has everything; an oven, ice box, a searing station, griddle and more. It is everything Dad wants in a BBQ. But now Dad can do all the big cooking outside and not use up the kitchen for the big dinners that he puts on for people. Dad is a great cook and Mom's know this will get plenty of use.
