Late Night

After the kids went to school this morning on the bus Mom made breakfast for Dad & Brayden. Then we all got ready. Dad thought he was going back to the fair but had a message that his boss wanted him in the IF office for the day making phone calls.

Mom took Brayden over to enjoy the morning with his friend Tajah. Mom & her friend Rachelle are swapping on Fridays to have a little time to ourselves doing what we can with no kiddos.

She ran errands and then got a little cleaning done before it was time to go pick up the kids from Kindergarten. When she went to pick up Brayden she dropped off Xander so he could play with Tati and then took the other kids home.

It was a quiet afternoon with Brayden taking a nap. Then all the kids arrived after school and we ran to Winco to get a movie & goodies for our fun night we had planned.

We were all excited for Mom's brother Jason to come & visit with Sasha but they had to change last minute due to some car issues. They are going to come next weekend instead with Grandma.

So Mom let all the kids invite one friend over for a late night with a movie & pizza.

Staci invited Sidney... Kaitlyn invited Alyssa...  Xander & Brayden invited Sawyer...

It was one fun night. We had pizza for dinner. Then each of the kids got a goodie bag with candy and cookies. They were so happy and loved the movie, "The Lorax". Staci's friend had to leave early because she was starting to get a migraine but the other two stayed until after 9:00 pm. Once all the friends left and the kids laid down they were asleep in about 5 minutes, except for Brayden. He had every excuse and didn't want to go to bed. Little stinker! Mom was ready to crash but had to convince Brayden that it was really time for bed. Then she fell asleep quickly too.

Dad ended up staying in Idaho Falls after work to join in a new band. He is singing and they were getting together to play for the first time. He missed all the fun here at the house but had some fun of his own jammin. He got home after everyone was asleep at about 1:00 am. Mom was barely moving and he actually scared her when he let her know he was home. She nearly jumped out of the bed. With having such a fun night with 7 giggly goofy kids she was just a little more than tired.

Learning to Hula

Today was a big day for Kaitlyn. We registered her for Kindergarten. It didn't quite go as planned for Mom though. We all got up early with Staci and took her to school. Then we got in line for the registration. Mom was feeling pretty good because we were like 12th one there. But as we waited for 45 minutes and got up to the front of the line they wouldn't put Kaitlyn's name on the list because we didn't have prove of our address. Mom wasn't aware that we needed it since we already have one child at the school and they should have this on file. They said they could give her the paperwork but that she couldn't be added to the list until they can verify where we live. Mom had to go home. She was furious and hoped that we could still get Kaitlyn into this school. Here in Pocatello they have open enrollment so you can take your kids where ever you want. This doesn't make any sense why it matters where you live then anyways but Mom hurried as quickly as she could...

Helpers in the Kitchen

Each night a different one of my children helps me make dinner. I have done this for awhile but have finally figured out the way to make it easier on myself. i get everything prepared ahead of time in little bowls just like they do on the Food Network. This way the kids just mix the ingredients in an easy way without having to measure stuff and the clean up is so much easier. I just tell them how much everything is as we are putting it together. Well tonight I made something super easy but it has the restaurant style look to it from a Pillsbury Cookbook (one of those small ones that are always by the register that my husband and I have a ton of because we pick them up all the time when we are out and about). I think my husband will be shocked, at least I hope he is... Monster Trucks

This morning the kids all slept in but we had to get them going since today was going to be a busy day. We made pancakes & eggs for breakfast. After we ate it was time for Staci to say good bye to Cami & take her home. They had a fun sleepover although Staci has been one onwry girl every since. So it will be a few weeks before she can have another sleep over, that is for sure. We left to go and get Dad's new toy, a new BBQ grill. We got it at Costco for a little more money than Mom had originally thought when Dad started searching a few months ago. But this grill has everything; an oven, ice box, a searing station, griddle and more. It is everything Dad wants in a BBQ. But now Dad can do all the big cooking outside and not use up the kitchen for the big dinners that he puts on for people. Dad is a great cook and Mom's know this will get plenty of use. Well we got home and then had to get Xander changed to be ready for his big game. It was his first t-ball game today and...
