That Time Again

It is that time of year again. Time for our General Conference session and hear the prophet speak. Mom got a new idea to make each of the kids a new conference folder. She also got each of the kids a tote with supplies and goodies. The kids couldn't wait for it to start so they could have their new things.

Dad had to work this morning and go to do a Toys for Tots drive at The Home Depot. He forgot his white dress pants so we all hopped in the car to take them to his work.

After the tour of his work we stopped at Walmart for Staci to pick out her new fish. She decided to go with gold fish this time instead of a beta fish. So she bought 6 just in case a few died, plus she only had $4 saved up. Kaitlyn had $7 and it was burning a hole in her pocket so she had to buy a new toy. She bought a comb that has pink colored dye so she can color her own hair and a new little doll.

As we were leaving we noticed that they were doing the wood project at Home Depot (not the one Dad was at though). They were doing face painting, had cotton candy, tractor rides and the fire truck was there for fire prevention month. Once they kids put together their project and painted it they got a lego set of a fire truck. It was so fun! They kids were loving it!!

We made it home just in time for conference to start. Then after about an hour Dad returned home and finished watching the session with us. The kids had a bingo game on the back of their folders to create a bingo card. Instead of playing bingo they were funny and played candy crush! It was pretty funny!!!

We relaxed most of the day in between conference. It was a nice relaxing day and then the kids all had little mini sleep overs in each others bedrooms after their baths.

Learning to Hula

Today was a big day for Kaitlyn. We registered her for Kindergarten. It didn't quite go as planned for Mom though. We all got up early with Staci and took her to school. Then we got in line for the registration. Mom was feeling pretty good because we were like 12th one there. But as we waited for 45 minutes and got up to the front of the line they wouldn't put Kaitlyn's name on the list because we didn't have prove of our address. Mom wasn't aware that we needed it since we already have one child at the school and they should have this on file. They said they could give her the paperwork but that she couldn't be added to the list until they can verify where we live. Mom had to go home. She was furious and hoped that we could still get Kaitlyn into this school. Here in Pocatello they have open enrollment so you can take your kids where ever you want. This doesn't make any sense why it matters where you live then anyways but Mom hurried as quickly as she could...

Helpers in the Kitchen

Each night a different one of my children helps me make dinner. I have done this for awhile but have finally figured out the way to make it easier on myself. i get everything prepared ahead of time in little bowls just like they do on the Food Network. This way the kids just mix the ingredients in an easy way without having to measure stuff and the clean up is so much easier. I just tell them how much everything is as we are putting it together. Well tonight I made something super easy but it has the restaurant style look to it from a Pillsbury Cookbook (one of those small ones that are always by the register that my husband and I have a ton of because we pick them up all the time when we are out and about). I think my husband will be shocked, at least I hope he is... Monster Trucks

This morning the kids all slept in but we had to get them going since today was going to be a busy day. We made pancakes & eggs for breakfast. After we ate it was time for Staci to say good bye to Cami & take her home. They had a fun sleepover although Staci has been one onwry girl every since. So it will be a few weeks before she can have another sleep over, that is for sure. We left to go and get Dad's new toy, a new BBQ grill. We got it at Costco for a little more money than Mom had originally thought when Dad started searching a few months ago. But this grill has everything; an oven, ice box, a searing station, griddle and more. It is everything Dad wants in a BBQ. But now Dad can do all the big cooking outside and not use up the kitchen for the big dinners that he puts on for people. Dad is a great cook and Mom's know this will get plenty of use. Well we got home and then had to get Xander changed to be ready for his big game. It was his first t-ball game today and...
