The kids woke up thinking that they were going to fast but the pancakes from last night were not enough and they were too hungry. We need to be better about preparation the day before! We arrived to church as they were singing the sacrament hymn. I saw a bench so we went up but someone was actually in it so we ended up walking around the front and sat on the second row. Here comes the late family!!
We had a great day at church and talked about how to keep yourselves in line with focusing on the end goal of eternal life. We need to look at the positive in life in order to stay strong. If we focus on the negative worldly things all around us we will be consumed and ultimately not happy. One of the members in our ward works for Hanes and brought a bunch of socks for everyone to take home. They kids were happy!!
I spent a little time after lunch taking a quick nap before I was in the kitchen the rest of the day. I got all the finger foods ready for the Super Bowl. I made cuban sliders, teriyaki burgers, and mini pizza cup. We also had grapes, chips & salsa and flamin hot cheetos.
The kids watched the puppy bowl on Animal planet and then they all went upstairs to play. Once the actual Super Bowl started they came to watch the blue angels fly over but went back to play. Xander came in a few times wearing blue. The kids were all going to for the Carolina Panthers because we live here although Paul and I were going for the Denver Broncos. Paul has had a headache for 3 days now and finally after a long bath and relaxing all day it is slowly starting to go away.
Staci and Paul enjoyed the half time show while I read stories upstairs to the kids. Then Staci went to bed and we finished watched the game. We were surprised but happy that the Broncos won! Peyton Manning is an amazing player and I love how humble he is! Such a great athlete who seems like a great family man!!
