Seizure or Not???

This morning started all the problems. Staci had a book order due & was trying to earn money to get this digital jump rope so she asked to make everyone lunches for the day. So she made 4 lunches and then needed her hair done before school. Mom started to dry her hair when Staci leaned forward into the sink a few times. Mom told her to keep her head up so her hair would style better. She then told Mom that her stomach hurt. Mom went to grab the blow dryer & Staci passed out. But fell away from Mom so she couldn't catch her. She fell sideways but turned going backwards and then hit her head on the floor. Her coloring changed to white immediately, she arched her back, brought her arms & hands into claws, her eyes rolled back in her head & she was foaming at the mouth. We knew what was happening. She was having a seizure. Dad came in as Mom was screaming & crying. It is so scary to see your child doing this. Then after about 25 seconds her coloring came back she rolled towards Mom on the floor & woke up. She said her head hurt & that she was very tired. We got her to our bed and she fell asleep for almost an hour. When she woke up she wanted to go lay down on the couch. But as she made it to the living room she said her stomach hurt. Mom got her some juice but with one sip she had to run to the bathroom and threw up. She threw up one more time about 20 minutes later. Mom knew today would be just watching Staci and making sure she was okay. But she did run to the school to turn in her book order that was due. Then Dad left for work. Mom decided to call the doctor & they wanted to see her. But they didn't have an appointment until 4:30. Dad let his boss know and he was so worried that he called the Master Seargent to let him know. They were all wondering how things were going all day and couldn't believe that we didn't take her right into the emergency room. She rested most of the day and took a good nap in the afternoon. She did eat a little in the afternoon but still didn't have quite an appetite yet. The doctor did an EKG and her heart was fine. He came to the conclusion that this was just a fainting spell and that she didn't have an actual seizure. He told us to have her salt her food to help keep moisture into her body. He wasn't relating this time from the last time over a year ago because this time she was standing up & last time she was sitting down. Mom just thought he was nuts. She was fine that evening.

Learning to Hula

Today was a big day for Kaitlyn. We registered her for Kindergarten. It didn't quite go as planned for Mom though. We all got up early with Staci and took her to school. Then we got in line for the registration. Mom was feeling pretty good because we were like 12th one there. But as we waited for 45 minutes and got up to the front of the line they wouldn't put Kaitlyn's name on the list because we didn't have prove of our address. Mom wasn't aware that we needed it since we already have one child at the school and they should have this on file. They said they could give her the paperwork but that she couldn't be added to the list until they can verify where we live. Mom had to go home. She was furious and hoped that we could still get Kaitlyn into this school. Here in Pocatello they have open enrollment so you can take your kids where ever you want. This doesn't make any sense why it matters where you live then anyways but Mom hurried as quickly as she could...

Monster Trucks

This morning the kids all slept in but we had to get them going since today was going to be a busy day. We made pancakes & eggs for breakfast. After we ate it was time for Staci to say good bye to Cami & take her home. They had a fun sleepover although Staci has been one onwry girl every since. So it will be a few weeks before she can have another sleep over, that is for sure. We left to go and get Dad's new toy, a new BBQ grill. We got it at Costco for a little more money than Mom had originally thought when Dad started searching a few months ago. But this grill has everything; an oven, ice box, a searing station, griddle and more. It is everything Dad wants in a BBQ. But now Dad can do all the big cooking outside and not use up the kitchen for the big dinners that he puts on for people. Dad is a great cook and Mom's know this will get plenty of use. Well we got home and then had to get Xander changed to be ready for his big game. It was his first t-ball game today and...
