My brother called me in the middle of the night last night to tell me that he had been diagnosed with Leukemia. They transferred him to LDS Hospital where he was admitted. He is not doing very good but the good news is that they did catch the cancer in time. There are 7 stages and he was at a 4-5 stage. But his white count was up to 76,000 and 96% of those cells were leukemia cells. A normal personal is at 12,000 white count. They will start chemo in the next few days and I will be heading out there tomorrow. I just can't believe it. You hear the news and it is almost like you are still dreaming. We are all praying that they will be able to get him on the right medicine and he will beat this cancer. Please pray for my brother as he is going through this right now.
Today was a big day for Kaitlyn. We registered her for Kindergarten. It didn't quite go as planned for Mom though. We all got up early with Staci and took her to school. Then we got in line for the registration. Mom was feeling pretty good because we were like 12th one there. But as we waited for 45 minutes and got up to the front of the line they wouldn't put Kaitlyn's name on the list because we didn't have prove of our address. Mom wasn't aware that we needed it since we already have one child at the school and they should have this on file. They said they could give her the paperwork but that she couldn't be added to the list until they can verify where we live. Mom had to go home. She was furious and hoped that we could still get Kaitlyn into this school. Here in Pocatello they have open enrollment so you can take your kids where ever you want. This doesn't make any sense why it matters where you live then anyways but Mom hurried as quickly as she could...
