Zoo

As Mom is putting the kids to bed tonight they were really making her laugh. Kaitlyn always has to go to the bathroom right when it is time for bed, how convenient. Well she tells me that she has to go potty every week. That was the first funny of the night and then Xander had his water bottle. He was just holding it and Mom told him to take a drink and then put it back when he was done. He has been dumping it all over his bed, the floor and his sisters beds lately. Well he tells Mom, "in a pive ninutes." He must hear Mom say 5 more minutes a lot. It was two funny!

We started off the morning with Mom having a heart attack. As if yesterday wasn't enough with her sister now moving to Australia. She checked her sisters website and saw a big APRIL FOOLS all over their post from yesterday. Can you believe that. She had us all fooled and Mom really believed it. She got us good. She had a good laugh with her sister as they talked for almost an hour.
Afterwards the kids helped tidy up the house so we could head over to the zoo. They were so excited and singing, "We're going to the zoo" over and over.

We have season passes so this is a very cheap thing to do. It is a very tiny zoo and the kids have always wanted to do the little amusement rides that they have. They are each 100 yen so Mom spent less than 1000 yen ($10.00) and let them drive little cars and they even got to ride the ferris wheel. Xander was hilarious! He was all excited until it started moving and he didn't let go once. He kept doing a half smile saying "ah pun, ah pun". Mom took a million pictures. Then the kids saw just a few animals and we also walked over to the petting zoo. These were two things that we have never really done before. We spent an hour there and then had a small picnic lunch with some lunchables & juice.

Dad came home during lunch to pack and say good bye. He went up to girls camp after work to be the other priesthood leader until tomorrow afternoon.

For dinner we had pizza and then had a movie night with popcorn & a few mint oreos (thanks Oma & Opa - since we can't get them here they sent them to us). Mom picked the movie and the kids seemed to like watching Stuart Little, even Xander. He thought da mouse ah punny.

Then at night while Mom was finishing cleaning the house with laundry and dishes Kaitlyn was up. She didn't want to go to bed. She was helping Mom but then got hungry about 10:30. Mom let her have 3 crackers and convinced her that the food went to sleep. She was trying to get her into bed by telling her that everything was asleep. Kaitlyn then went all around the house saying that the door is asleep, the garbage is asleep, the bathroom is asleep, the TV is asleep and then had a good one for Mom. Her bed went to sleep and now she couldn't go to sleep or she would have to sleep on the floor. She is too funny & way to smart for her own good.

Learning to Hula

Today was a big day for Kaitlyn. We registered her for Kindergarten. It didn't quite go as planned for Mom though. We all got up early with Staci and took her to school. Then we got in line for the registration. Mom was feeling pretty good because we were like 12th one there. But as we waited for 45 minutes and got up to the front of the line they wouldn't put Kaitlyn's name on the list because we didn't have prove of our address. Mom wasn't aware that we needed it since we already have one child at the school and they should have this on file. They said they could give her the paperwork but that she couldn't be added to the list until they can verify where we live. Mom had to go home. She was furious and hoped that we could still get Kaitlyn into this school. Here in Pocatello they have open enrollment so you can take your kids where ever you want. This doesn't make any sense why it matters where you live then anyways but Mom hurried as quickly as she could...

Monster Trucks

This morning the kids all slept in but we had to get them going since today was going to be a busy day. We made pancakes & eggs for breakfast. After we ate it was time for Staci to say good bye to Cami & take her home. They had a fun sleepover although Staci has been one onwry girl every since. So it will be a few weeks before she can have another sleep over, that is for sure. We left to go and get Dad's new toy, a new BBQ grill. We got it at Costco for a little more money than Mom had originally thought when Dad started searching a few months ago. But this grill has everything; an oven, ice box, a searing station, griddle and more. It is everything Dad wants in a BBQ. But now Dad can do all the big cooking outside and not use up the kitchen for the big dinners that he puts on for people. Dad is a great cook and Mom's know this will get plenty of use. Well we got home and then had to get Xander changed to be ready for his big game. It was his first t-ball game today and...
