Finally

We finally made it to all of church today. It had been almost a month since we had been. It was nice to sit in sacrament meeting, all except for Dad. He tweaked his back this weekend and can hardly move this morning. He says it wasn't because of the monster truck show but Mom seems to think that it didn't help any either.

Brayden tried out nursery for the first time today. He had a snack and got to play for just a few minutes. Then Mom took him home with Dad so she could teach her lesson without Brayden "helping".

When we got home we had lunch and then Mom had a meeting for young womens. Little did she know it would be a two hour meeting. But she actually enjoyed the meeting since as soon as she got home it was clean up the kitchen for the day.

Dad got to use his new grill today and was so happy. He LOVES it!! We had steaks for dinner. After dinner we invited a new family over for a dessert. Dad created a strawberry cream puff with a strawberry carmel. It was delicious! The new family has been in the ward for only a few months and we are still trying to get to know everyone too. They are Jeff & Tamara Wasden. They have three kids very similar to our kids ages (Kaia-8, Riley-6, Lincoln-almost 3). The kids had fun making new friends and Mom & Dad enjoyed getting to know them as well. It was surprising how much Dad & Jeff had in common. We will probably be doing other things with them so then Mom & Tamara can see what they have in common too.

The kids didn't want to go to bed though when they left. We learned why. As they were leaving we noticed that half of the jelly bean dish for Easter was eating by little fingers. So all the kids were on a sugar high. But luckily all but Kaitlyn fell asleep pretty quickly so Mom & Dad could just sit back and watch some TV before going to bed.

Learning to Hula

Today was a big day for Kaitlyn. We registered her for Kindergarten. It didn't quite go as planned for Mom though. We all got up early with Staci and took her to school. Then we got in line for the registration. Mom was feeling pretty good because we were like 12th one there. But as we waited for 45 minutes and got up to the front of the line they wouldn't put Kaitlyn's name on the list because we didn't have prove of our address. Mom wasn't aware that we needed it since we already have one child at the school and they should have this on file. They said they could give her the paperwork but that she couldn't be added to the list until they can verify where we live. Mom had to go home. She was furious and hoped that we could still get Kaitlyn into this school. Here in Pocatello they have open enrollment so you can take your kids where ever you want. This doesn't make any sense why it matters where you live then anyways but Mom hurried as quickly as she could...

Helpers in the Kitchen

Each night a different one of my children helps me make dinner. I have done this for awhile but have finally figured out the way to make it easier on myself. i get everything prepared ahead of time in little bowls just like they do on the Food Network. This way the kids just mix the ingredients in an easy way without having to measure stuff and the clean up is so much easier. I just tell them how much everything is as we are putting it together. Well tonight I made something super easy but it has the restaurant style look to it from a Pillsbury Cookbook (one of those small ones that are always by the register that my husband and I have a ton of because we pick them up all the time when we are out and about). I think my husband will be shocked, at least I hope he is... Monster Trucks

This morning the kids all slept in but we had to get them going since today was going to be a busy day. We made pancakes & eggs for breakfast. After we ate it was time for Staci to say good bye to Cami & take her home. They had a fun sleepover although Staci has been one onwry girl every since. So it will be a few weeks before she can have another sleep over, that is for sure. We left to go and get Dad's new toy, a new BBQ grill. We got it at Costco for a little more money than Mom had originally thought when Dad started searching a few months ago. But this grill has everything; an oven, ice box, a searing station, griddle and more. It is everything Dad wants in a BBQ. But now Dad can do all the big cooking outside and not use up the kitchen for the big dinners that he puts on for people. Dad is a great cook and Mom's know this will get plenty of use. Well we got home and then had to get Xander changed to be ready for his big game. It was his first t-ball game today and...
