New Toy

Dad has been working all day. He did some things to the swing set, textured the girls bedroom and added some detail to Xander's lightening McQueen bed. He took a break when he went with the family to run errands and to eat.

We watched the first session of General Conference together. The kids watched most of it too. Mom found some great packets to help keep them busy. It is so great that you can find them online every year.

Mom bought a big ball that the kids can climb inside and roll around in outside. They LOVE it!!! Brayden even likes to climb inside and we are careful not to roll him and just jiggle it. Mom was able to climb inside with the kids too. They do summersalts inside to make it move around. It is so fun to watch them. We saw it at Costco last year and Mom always wished she would have bought it. It barely fits in the shed to store though. This thing is huge!!! They would take turns playing it while the other kids played on the swing set. Mom can already tell this summer is going to be great! I has been beautiful the past few days and we are hoping the weather keeps up.

We had a little scare this afternoon. We were taking the truck to run errands. Mom needed to move the carseat for Brayden so she stuck Brayden in the truck and got the carseat out of the car. She then told the kids to switch and get in the truck instead. Staci opened the door to the truck to catch Brayden as he toppled out like a pin ball in a machine. She tried to catch him but he still fell and hit his head on the driveway. Staci was so sad and thought she was in big trouble. It was an accident. Mom took him inside to clean him up. He just scraped his head a little. But in the tub he had a clump of hair come out where he will probably have a little scab tomorrow with his bump that is already showing. He is lucky he fell out like a pin ball and not straight on his head or we probably would have had an ER visit.

Mom & Dad went out last night and Megan watched the kids. Mom had to laugh at Dad though. At the beginning of the week Mom asked Dad what day worked best for him. Since he was going to be in Boise on Thursday he said he would be too tired & had to work on Friday so we could go on Saturday. But with it being conference weekend and the priesthood session Saturday would work either. So at 3:30 pm on Friday Dad calls Mom and says, "So are we going out tonight?" Mom had no babysitter and luckily Megan was free last minute. We had dinner at Chili's and then went and saw The Source Code. It was good but kind of an interesting movie. It was crazy though! We tried 3 different ATM's and they were all out of service so we had to get money today and pay the babysitter late.

Learning to Hula

Today was a big day for Kaitlyn. We registered her for Kindergarten. It didn't quite go as planned for Mom though. We all got up early with Staci and took her to school. Then we got in line for the registration. Mom was feeling pretty good because we were like 12th one there. But as we waited for 45 minutes and got up to the front of the line they wouldn't put Kaitlyn's name on the list because we didn't have prove of our address. Mom wasn't aware that we needed it since we already have one child at the school and they should have this on file. They said they could give her the paperwork but that she couldn't be added to the list until they can verify where we live. Mom had to go home. She was furious and hoped that we could still get Kaitlyn into this school. Here in Pocatello they have open enrollment so you can take your kids where ever you want. This doesn't make any sense why it matters where you live then anyways but Mom hurried as quickly as she could...

Monster Trucks

This morning the kids all slept in but we had to get them going since today was going to be a busy day. We made pancakes & eggs for breakfast. After we ate it was time for Staci to say good bye to Cami & take her home. They had a fun sleepover although Staci has been one onwry girl every since. So it will be a few weeks before she can have another sleep over, that is for sure. We left to go and get Dad's new toy, a new BBQ grill. We got it at Costco for a little more money than Mom had originally thought when Dad started searching a few months ago. But this grill has everything; an oven, ice box, a searing station, griddle and more. It is everything Dad wants in a BBQ. But now Dad can do all the big cooking outside and not use up the kitchen for the big dinners that he puts on for people. Dad is a great cook and Mom's know this will get plenty of use. Well we got home and then had to get Xander changed to be ready for his big game. It was his first t-ball game today and...
