Dad left yesterday to go to Salt Lake for a pool function with the marines. They had drill instructors from San Diego doing a physical training day with all the recruits waiting to go to boot camp. He screamed all day and came home with a soar throat. He had an eventful day was so ready to be home. He was hungry and tired.
During Xander's t-ball game today he hit the ball his first way up to bat. He hit the ball on the third coaches pitch. It went over the coach's head over towards third base. He just stood there and we all screamed drop the bat and run. He ran to first turned around and had the biggest grin on his face. He just yelled, "I didn't have to use the tee." He was so happy.
After the game Mom took the kids to the Pocatello Zoo. This was our first time since moving here over a year ago. The kids still remember other zoos and were shocked when we pulled up. They all yelled, "Is this it!!!" They could not believe how small it actually was and that there was such a small amount of animals there. We got to go over to the petting zoo but there was a group of young girls doing service and painting all the fences. There was red pain everywhere and Mom was so worried the kids would get this paint all over themselves. They proved Mom wrong and were very careful going in and out of the petting area. They had a blast in the play area and the tree house that they have for the kids to climb in. Brayden especially loved the dirt. All in all it was a fun afternoon even though our kids have been spoiled with so many other bigger (great) places we have visited or lived near.
