Dad came home today after only being at work for a few hours saying he was headed up to Idaho Falls to golf & go shooting and invited us to go with. We called Stephanie, who's husband Brian was the one going with Dad. She was more than happy to spend the day with us and let us hang out at their house as well.
We started off with lunch at Wendy's. The kids were such goofballs and kept cracking Stephanie up. They got some fun linking toys with thier kids meals.
Then we headed over to the Idaho Falls Zoo, Tautphas Zoo. This was our first time and Mom realized she forgot the camera half way there. She had the other one but no memory card. Stephanie was nice enough to let us use hers. The zoo was much bigger than our tiny one we had just been to and had so many different animals. The kids even enjoyed the petting zoo. At first they were nervous about feeding the goats but then they took every la
st bit of the powder from their food dispenser and let the goats lick their hands. YUCK! It sure was fun to watch their little faces. Then at the end Mom gave in and let the older kids make an image onto a penny.
There was a park near the zoo so afterwards we let the kids play around for a little while until Dad & Brian showed up. They had an okay round of golf and were not hungry. So they headed over to get food at the store while Mom & Stephanie took all the kids back to their place. We watched Tangled and rested for a little bit.
Dad made some yummy food, as always. He grilled some nectarines with a honey raspberry balsamic glaze over the top, BBQ rub chicken and some cheese & bacon stuffed peppers. It was so delicious, especially the nectarines.
Then the men went shooting while we sat outside and the kids played with their neighbors kids. The rode bikes, played ball, ran around and collected rocks. It was mostly tearless, except for Kaitlyn. She was having a LONG moment and Mom got frustrated. She finally calmed down just before the men returned and it was time to go home. We got home late but had a very fun day!!!
