Renevation Day 1

Well we started with the renovation in the kitchen. Little did we know it would be such a mess. We first have to sand down all of the counter tops. With the last attempt at a quick fix we now have blue paint sand everywhere. Dad sanded while Mom vacuumed up the dust. When we got to the sink we knew we wanted to replace the sink but didn't realize just how bad it really was. When Dad unhooked everything we found out it was molded and rusted so he completely took out the sink and we have to replace it.

Mom was going to attempt to cook dinner but decided pizza was a much better option for tonight and she will figure out a simple menu for the rest of the week since it takes a week to completely finish this project with the drying process.
After dinner we ran over to Lowe's to get out new sink. We had to have that picked out before we start on the next part of the counters. As we were leaving Lowe's Xander accidentally smashed his fingers in the door and thought it was because Dad shut them in there. He cried all the way home and until he went to sleep. He told Mom that Dad really got him good this time. Dad felt bad but by the time he came in to let him know it really wasn't him, Xander was already asleep. He tried waking him up to say he was sorry but he was out cold.

Back in the kitchen, Dad added more support under the sink and then added an epoxy to the backside of the where the sink will go. So tomorrow we will start on the actually painting of the counter tops.

At 11:30 Mom ran out to the grocery store. It was a much better time than going at 10:30 but you do have to deal with all the stockers. But Mom would much rather deal with that than kids kicking & screaming, laying on the floor in the produce isle and fighting. This is definitely not her favorite store with the kids. Dad just doesn't get it because they never do that when he is there. Mom explains in detail but he just can't see the kids doing it.

Learning to Hula

Today was a big day for Kaitlyn. We registered her for Kindergarten. It didn't quite go as planned for Mom though. We all got up early with Staci and took her to school. Then we got in line for the registration. Mom was feeling pretty good because we were like 12th one there. But as we waited for 45 minutes and got up to the front of the line they wouldn't put Kaitlyn's name on the list because we didn't have prove of our address. Mom wasn't aware that we needed it since we already have one child at the school and they should have this on file. They said they could give her the paperwork but that she couldn't be added to the list until they can verify where we live. Mom had to go home. She was furious and hoped that we could still get Kaitlyn into this school. Here in Pocatello they have open enrollment so you can take your kids where ever you want. This doesn't make any sense why it matters where you live then anyways but Mom hurried as quickly as she could...

Monster Trucks

This morning the kids all slept in but we had to get them going since today was going to be a busy day. We made pancakes & eggs for breakfast. After we ate it was time for Staci to say good bye to Cami & take her home. They had a fun sleepover although Staci has been one onwry girl every since. So it will be a few weeks before she can have another sleep over, that is for sure. We left to go and get Dad's new toy, a new BBQ grill. We got it at Costco for a little more money than Mom had originally thought when Dad started searching a few months ago. But this grill has everything; an oven, ice box, a searing station, griddle and more. It is everything Dad wants in a BBQ. But now Dad can do all the big cooking outside and not use up the kitchen for the big dinners that he puts on for people. Dad is a great cook and Mom's know this will get plenty of use. Well we got home and then had to get Xander changed to be ready for his big game. It was his first t-ball game today and...
