Weekend Visit

Friday: The kids each got to open their Birthday presents before school so before we started on our weekend getaway. After packing all day, I picked up the kids from school and then we headed on our drive to Salt Lake. For dinner that night we went to McDonalds for Brayden's birthday dinner. Grandma & Grandpa Fletcher even came over to visit. It was very nice of them to come.

Saturday: In the early morning I went to the temple with my Dad to do initiatory at the Draper Temple. It was my first time at this temple and this is the one my Dad works at. It was such a cold morning but a great visit to do the Lord's work at the temple.
That night was the Fletcher Christmas Party at Dee & Duwayne's home. There was small numbers this year but we still did our Christmas traditions and everyone had a good time.
On our way home we stopped at Temple Square to see the lights. We parked at Gateway and walked around for a little. Then got on Utah Trax to head over to the see the Christmas lights. The kids thought that was fun & we took Sasha with us too. It was cold and everyone else left early but I was determined to share this with the kids. So we walked quickly and then headed back to my parents home.
Sunday: We went to church with Grandma & Grandpa and then after dinner we headed home. It was a quick weekend but we enjoyed our time with family.

Learning to Hula

Today was a big day for Kaitlyn. We registered her for Kindergarten. It didn't quite go as planned for Mom though. We all got up early with Staci and took her to school. Then we got in line for the registration. Mom was feeling pretty good because we were like 12th one there. But as we waited for 45 minutes and got up to the front of the line they wouldn't put Kaitlyn's name on the list because we didn't have prove of our address. Mom wasn't aware that we needed it since we already have one child at the school and they should have this on file. They said they could give her the paperwork but that she couldn't be added to the list until they can verify where we live. Mom had to go home. She was furious and hoped that we could still get Kaitlyn into this school. Here in Pocatello they have open enrollment so you can take your kids where ever you want. This doesn't make any sense why it matters where you live then anyways but Mom hurried as quickly as she could...

Helpers in the Kitchen

Each night a different one of my children helps me make dinner. I have done this for awhile but have finally figured out the way to make it easier on myself. i get everything prepared ahead of time in little bowls just like they do on the Food Network. This way the kids just mix the ingredients in an easy way without having to measure stuff and the clean up is so much easier. I just tell them how much everything is as we are putting it together. Well tonight I made something super easy but it has the restaurant style look to it from a Pillsbury Cookbook (one of those small ones that are always by the register that my husband and I have a ton of because we pick them up all the time when we are out and about). I think my husband will be shocked, at least I hope he is... Monster Trucks

This morning the kids all slept in but we had to get them going since today was going to be a busy day. We made pancakes & eggs for breakfast. After we ate it was time for Staci to say good bye to Cami & take her home. They had a fun sleepover although Staci has been one onwry girl every since. So it will be a few weeks before she can have another sleep over, that is for sure. We left to go and get Dad's new toy, a new BBQ grill. We got it at Costco for a little more money than Mom had originally thought when Dad started searching a few months ago. But this grill has everything; an oven, ice box, a searing station, griddle and more. It is everything Dad wants in a BBQ. But now Dad can do all the big cooking outside and not use up the kitchen for the big dinners that he puts on for people. Dad is a great cook and Mom's know this will get plenty of use. Well we got home and then had to get Xander changed to be ready for his big game. It was his first t-ball game today and...
