Down Again

Dad woke up early and rode his bike to work. It was a little warmer today but still cold in the mornings. Dad got all bundled up and spent most of the day at his half day of work.

In the morning Mom didn't go back to sleep and watched a Christmas movie before the kids woke up about 8:45 am. Then after breakfast we put all the Christmas decorations away. With going in up and down from the attic Mom wasn't doing so good. All her light headed and dizziness came back. So she spent the next 3 hours in bed upstairs.

The kids have really been so good!! They even brought lunch upstairs for Mom while she was resting. After lunch the boys took a nap and Mom knew she needed to run to do a few errands. She was still dizzy and probably shouldn't have gone but needed to get a few things done.

She got home just after Dad. He felt fine all day long but just after giving Mom a hug he went upstairs and felt like he was going to pass out. Maybe it is the house! We might need a Lysol disinfecting spray.

Mom and Dad passed out for two hours upstairs and were even getting the chills. Hope the sickness goes away and the kids have even been praying that the sickness will leave our house.

For dinner Mom asked Brayden to pick our meal. He picked kiwi. Mom told him we needed to eat a little more than that and he picked hotdogs. So Mom added chili, cheese and potato chips. The kids ate every last thing on their plates. This was a kids kind of meal!

The kids went to bed normal tonight to prepare for our fun night of staying up super late tomorrow. Good night everyone!!

Today was a big day for Kaitlyn. We registered her for Kindergarten. It didn't quite go as planned for Mom though. We all got up early with Staci and took her to school. Then we got in line for the registration. Mom was feeling pretty good because we were like 12th one there. But as we waited for 45 minutes and got up to the front of the line they wouldn't put Kaitlyn's name on the list because we didn't have prove of our address. Mom wasn't aware that we needed it since we already have one child at the school and they should have this on file. They said they could give her the paperwork but that she couldn't be added to the list until they can verify where we live. Mom had to go home. She was furious and hoped that we could still get Kaitlyn into this school. Here in Pocatello they have open enrollment so you can take your kids where ever you want. This doesn't make any sense why it matters where you live then anyways but Mom hurried as quickly as she could...

Helpers in the Kitchen

Each night a different one of my children helps me make dinner. I have done this for awhile but have finally figured out the way to make it easier on myself. i get everything prepared ahead of time in little bowls just like they do on the Food Network. This way the kids just mix the ingredients in an easy way without having to measure stuff and the clean up is so much easier. I just tell them how much everything is as we are putting it together. Well tonight I made something super easy but it has the restaurant style look to it from a Pillsbury Cookbook (one of those small ones that are always by the register that my husband and I have a ton of because we pick them up all the time when we are out and about). I think my husband will be shocked, at least I hope he is... Monster Trucks

This morning the kids all slept in but we had to get them going since today was going to be a busy day. We made pancakes & eggs for breakfast. After we ate it was time for Staci to say good bye to Cami & take her home. They had a fun sleepover although Staci has been one onwry girl every since. So it will be a few weeks before she can have another sleep over, that is for sure. We left to go and get Dad's new toy, a new BBQ grill. We got it at Costco for a little more money than Mom had originally thought when Dad started searching a few months ago. But this grill has everything; an oven, ice box, a searing station, griddle and more. It is everything Dad wants in a BBQ. But now Dad can do all the big cooking outside and not use up the kitchen for the big dinners that he puts on for people. Dad is a great cook and Mom's know this will get plenty of use.
