Interview for Mom

Luckily Mom & Dad are feeling a little better but still have their moments. Mom had an interview this morning at Great Clips. Mom has decided to go back to work after almost 12 years. It has been a blessing to be home with the kids but with them all getting older Mom can work while they are all in school. It is exciting but a bittersweet feeling. She was so nervous! They wanted her to come in a do a couple haircuts as well as talk with her in an interview. It went well and they really liked Mom. They will let us know by the end of the week their decision.

Kaitlyn went to a friends house and to the movies. But they went to see a movie that was scary for her and her friend Story. So her Mom sat outside with the girls until it was over.

We all went to the grocery store today and ran a few errands. Then Kaitlyn came home and Mom got things ready for our fun New Years Eve night. Then Mom made dinner and Dad headed on the road to help Uncle Joe move into his apartment.

Mom had balloons blown up with times written on them starting at 6:00 until 11:00 pm. Inside each balloon was a different activity to do. The kids took turns popping the balloons.

6:00 Balloon (green) was Brayden's balloon to pop. This balloon was playing in the ball house with the tunnels. They were jumping up and down!!!

Learning to Hula

Today was a big day for Kaitlyn. We registered her for Kindergarten. It didn't quite go as planned for Mom though. We all got up early with Staci and took her to school. Then we got in line for the registration. Mom was feeling pretty good because we were like 12th one there. But as we waited for 45 minutes and got up to the front of the line they wouldn't put Kaitlyn's name on the list because we didn't have prove of our address. Mom wasn't aware that we needed it since we already have one child at the school and they should have this on file. They said they could give her the paperwork but that she couldn't be added to the list until they can verify where we live. Mom had to go home. She was furious and hoped that we could still get Kaitlyn into this school. Here in Pocatello they have open enrollment so you can take your kids where ever you want. This doesn't make any sense why it matters where you live then anyways but Mom hurried as quickly as she could...

Helpers in the Kitchen

Each night a different one of my children helps me make dinner. I have done this for awhile but have finally figured out the way to make it easier on myself. i get everything prepared ahead of time in little bowls just like they do on the Food Network. This way the kids just mix the ingredients in an easy way without having to measure stuff and the clean up is so much easier. I just tell them how much everything is as we are putting it together. Well tonight I made something super easy but it has the restaurant style look to it from a Pillsbury Cookbook (one of those small ones that are always by the register that my husband and I have a ton of because we pick them up all the time when we are out and about). I think my husband will be shocked, at least I hope he is... Monster Trucks

This morning the kids all slept in but we had to get them going since today was going to be a busy day. We made pancakes & eggs for breakfast. After we ate it was time for Staci to say good bye to Cami & take her home. They had a fun sleepover although Staci has been one onwry girl every since. So it will be a few weeks before she can have another sleep over, that is for sure. We left to go and get Dad's new toy, a new BBQ grill. We got it at Costco for a little more money than Mom had originally thought when Dad started searching a few months ago. But this grill has everything; an oven, ice box, a searing station, griddle and more. It is everything Dad wants in a BBQ. But now Dad can do all the big cooking outside and not use up the kitchen for the big dinners that he puts on for people. Dad is a great cook and Mom's know this will get plenty of use.
