Cheer

This morning Dad left early to go with the Marines and Mom got the kids ready to go to a cheer & dance competition. One of our babysitters is a cheerleader and also one of Mom's miamaids so we went to support her.
The kids loved it. Although it was a little hard at times to contain Brayden on the bleachers and not climb all over them. At one point the kids were thirsty so Mom went out to get some drinks and Xander followed her. She heard a yell for Mom and it was Xander looking for her. We only had to go out like 5 times due to potty and food breaks. Then the kids got their photo with Megan before it was all over.
Mom then spent the day getting the house some what cleaned and ready for her date. Dad arrived around 7:00 at night. We had to change a few of our plans for our date due to not starting a few hours earlier. We were going to go to Lava Hot Springs but changed at the last minute and went bowling instead.
We had a date with our friends Kris & Rachelle Bartschi. First we had dinner at a little mexican restaurant, which tasted pretty good. Then we headed over to the bowling alley. We had so much fun. Mom only played one game and watched the other but our hour ended right as Dad was on a 3 in a row strike run. Afterwards we got desserts at Applebee's. We ended up getting home a little after 11:00 pm & felt bad since church is back to 9:00 am starting tomorrow. But it was such a fun night and we can't wait to go again and do the swimming next time.
Dad sure did enjoy his day with the marines. They took all the kids on a winter survival training. There is a video that Dad made to show more of what they did. But they had the kids build snow caves and then killed rabbits to eat with their MRES for lunch. The ones who had the best snow caves got a prize. The prize was to such the eye balls out of the rabbits. One kids sucked so hard he got a little brain & guts. YUCK! There is a reason Mom is not a Marine, but Dad didn't even do that either with the rabbits. He just made sure to take a ton of photos of the kids who did.
That night when we went to bed Dad started feeling horrible and actually ended up getting food poisoning. It was either the MRES, Rabbit or the mexican. Who knows but something upset his stomach and went straight to bed. Mom could barely hug him goodnight.

Learning to Hula

Today was a big day for Kaitlyn. We registered her for Kindergarten. It didn't quite go as planned for Mom though. We all got up early with Staci and took her to school. Then we got in line for the registration. Mom was feeling pretty good because we were like 12th one there. But as we waited for 45 minutes and got up to the front of the line they wouldn't put Kaitlyn's name on the list because we didn't have prove of our address. Mom wasn't aware that we needed it since we already have one child at the school and they should have this on file. They said they could give her the paperwork but that she couldn't be added to the list until they can verify where we live. Mom had to go home. She was furious and hoped that we could still get Kaitlyn into this school. Here in Pocatello they have open enrollment so you can take your kids where ever you want. This doesn't make any sense why it matters where you live then anyways but Mom hurried as quickly as she could...

Helpers in the Kitchen

Each night a different one of my children helps me make dinner. I have done this for awhile but have finally figured out the way to make it easier on myself. i get everything prepared ahead of time in little bowls just like they do on the Food Network. This way the kids just mix the ingredients in an easy way without having to measure stuff and the clean up is so much easier. I just tell them how much everything is as we are putting it together. Well tonight I made something super easy but it has the restaurant style look to it from a Pillsbury Cookbook (one of those small ones that are always by the register that my husband and I have a ton of because we pick them up all the time when we are out and about). I think my husband will be shocked, at least I hope he is... Monster Trucks

This morning the kids all slept in but we had to get them going since today was going to be a busy day. We made pancakes & eggs for breakfast. After we ate it was time for Staci to say good bye to Cami & take her home. They had a fun sleepover although Staci has been one onwry girl every since. So it will be a few weeks before she can have another sleep over, that is for sure. We left to go and get Dad's new toy, a new BBQ grill. We got it at Costco for a little more money than Mom had originally thought when Dad started searching a few months ago. But this grill has everything; an oven, ice box, a searing station, griddle and more. It is everything Dad wants in a BBQ. But now Dad can do all the big cooking outside and not use up the kitchen for the big dinners that he puts on for people. Dad is a great cook and Mom's know this will get plenty of use. Well we got home and then had to get Xander changed to be ready for his big game. It was his first t-ball game today and...
