They Got One

This morning I slept in while the girls were up early watching cartoons. Once I woke up I realized we needed to pick up our food basket 10 minutes ago and then checked my email. Luckily the truck was 4 hours late so we had plenty of time.

So we had breakfast and then headed out the door for garage sale shopping. The kids were excited at first but by the end they were done. At least you don't have to start at 6:00 am like you do in San Diego. Around here they start at 9:00 & 10:00.

We got a few new school clothes for the kids and then ran over to pick up the basket. The truck had just arrived with the delivery so we were early and volunteered. We got some extra corn & grapes for helping though.

We came home and worked on the yard for a little and then had lunch. Brayden & I took a nap while the girls watched a movie. They were good and let me sleep since I had a pounding headache.

We ran over to Walmart to get a few things and finish the school shopping. YEAH! I am so glad it is over with. It
will really be a treat when we go in the poor house shopping for all four kids with supplies, clothes & accessories for the girls.

Tonight was left overs for dinner and then all the kids got into the tub. Brayden threw a fit because he wanted to play in the girls room. So he was only in the tub long enough to get cleaned and it was quite a wrestling match to get him dressed. He is getting so strong & was determined not to have me do anything for bedtime.

We had scriptures and then put Brayden to bed. I promised the girls we could scrapbook while he was sleeping & since I took a nap earlier now was the only time. They both made cute pages for their friends from last year in school. I ran out of ink so will print up the pictures later to complete the pages. But they were both happy with our time together.

Then Paul sent a photo he took of him & Xander. They spent all day and finally got a deer at 8:00 pm. Xander was tired at 8:00 am but was a trooper & made it all day. He even ate MRE's with his Dad while they climbed the rocks & mountains. They will be home VERY late tonight. So I have the rest of the kids in bed and I am watching a chick flick that I got for myself with some oreos & ice cream. Should be a good rest of the night.

Learning to Hula

Today was a big day for Kaitlyn. We registered her for Kindergarten. It didn't quite go as planned for Mom though. We all got up early with Staci and took her to school. Then we got in line for the registration. Mom was feeling pretty good because we were like 12th one there. But as we waited for 45 minutes and got up to the front of the line they wouldn't put Kaitlyn's name on the list because we didn't have prove of our address. Mom wasn't aware that we needed it since we already have one child at the school and they should have this on file. They said they could give her the paperwork but that she couldn't be added to the list until they can verify where we live. Mom had to go home. She was furious and hoped that we could still get Kaitlyn into this school. Here in Pocatello they have open enrollment so you can take your kids where ever you want. This doesn't make any sense why it matters where you live then anyways but Mom hurried as quickly as she could...

Helpers in the Kitchen

Each night a different one of my children helps me make dinner. I have done this for awhile but have finally figured out the way to make it easier on myself. i get everything prepared ahead of time in little bowls just like they do on the Food Network. This way the kids just mix the ingredients in an easy way without having to measure stuff and the clean up is so much easier. I just tell them how much everything is as we are putting it together. Well tonight I made something super easy but it has the restaurant style look to it from a Pillsbury Cookbook (one of those small ones that are always by the register that my husband and I have a ton of because we pick them up all the time when we are out and about). I think my husband will be shocked, at least I hope he is... Monster Trucks

This morning the kids all slept in but we had to get them going since today was going to be a busy day. We made pancakes & eggs for breakfast. After we ate it was time for Staci to say good bye to Cami & take her home. They had a fun sleepover although Staci has been one onwry girl every since. So it will be a few weeks before she can have another sleep over, that is for sure. We left to go and get Dad's new toy, a new BBQ grill. We got it at Costco for a little more money than Mom had originally thought when Dad started searching a few months ago. But this grill has everything; an oven, ice box, a searing station, griddle and more. It is everything Dad wants in a BBQ. But now Dad can do all the big cooking outside and not use up the kitchen for the big dinners that he puts on for people. Dad is a great cook and Mom's know this will get plenty of use. Well we got home and then had to get Xander changed to be ready for his big game. It was his first t-ball game today and...
